The tour is amazing value. We paid $132 for two people. There was a pick up from our hotel in Old Quater in Hanoi, transfer to the sleeping bus, lunch on arrival in Sapa. Check-in to a really great hotel, it totally exceeded our expectations. Trekking to Cat Cat village that afternoon. One night stay at hotel. And a great trekking next day.... we were incredibly lucky with the weather. It was gorgeous. The scenery was breathtaking. We are so happy we did this. We were ready for rain and cold but it was sunny and hiked in t-shirts! Our guide, Soa, spoke excellent English. She was knowledgeable and well organized. Also very good at letting us know how long we had to wander around to take photos and explore, and where our meeting points would be. The meals at hotel were delicious. And we went back to Hanoi by sleeping bus, and drop near our hotel. A note about the local village women who sell handmade souvenirs: one in particular accompanied our small group with our guide and she was helpful in getting us through more challenging parts of the path, she was friendly and talkative. It was my pleasure to purchase some souvenirs from her. I love the handmade colourful bracelets. Although other ladies would like to sell their stuff too.... I couldn’t afford to buy from everyone. So I suggest get a few bracelets from a few different ladies. And buy something a bit more substantial (I got an embroidered pouch) from the woman who was assisting in the trek. We also gave a tip to our guide at the end of our tour.
