5.00This cooking class with Simon at Rose Kitchen was an absolute highlight of our trip to Hanoi! If you have a few hours to spare, you absolutely must do this. Simon was a fantastic host and teacher—so friendly, funny, and incredibly knowledgeable. He made the entire experience so much fun and easy to follow, even for those of us who aren't experts in the kitchen. We learned to make a classic Vietnamese feast: flavorful Bun Cha, crispy Vietnamese pancakes (Banh Xeo), and a fresh, zesty mango salad. Simon guided us through every step, explaining the ingredients and techniques perfectly. Everything we made tasted incredible and so authentic. But the grand finale was the egg coffee. I've tried a lot of egg coffee since arriving in Hanoi, and I can say without a doubt this was the BEST one I've had. It was perfectly rich, creamy, and delicious. Learning the secret to making it ourselves was worth the price of the class alone! I can't recommend this class enough. It's more than just cooking; it's a wonderful cultural experience. Thank you, Simon and Rose Kitchen, for such a memorable and delicious afternoon!

1.00Recommended by my hotel. I’ve been to many cooking schools and this one was badly organised. There were flies all over the produce and you need a strong stomach for the meat we got at the wet market. I got a Grab and left.
