This hands-on experience starts with a trip to the local market to buy fresh ingredients and then heading to the kitchen where you will make four classic Vietnamese dishes (fried spring rolls, papaya salad, pho rolls, mixed pho) and Vietnamese specialty - egg coffee. After the class, you can enjoy the meal with all the delicious dishes you’ve just made.

What To Expect

MENU Nom Du Du - Papaya Salad Nem Ran - Fried Spring Rolls Pho Cuon - Pho Rolls Pho Tron - Mixed Pho Ca Phe Trung - Egg Coffee Dessert: Seasonal fruits DETAILED ITINERARY Start with a welcome at our office and then head to Yen Thai market, a local market nearby where you can get a glimpse of local life, buy fresh food, and have a better understanding of Vietnamese ingredients plus their substitutes. After visiting the market, head to the kitchen for the cooking class. Your cooking instructor will show you how to make four classic Vietnamese dishes (fried spring rolls, papaya salad, pho rolls, mixed pho) and Vietnamese specialty egg coffee. Our instructor will guide you step by step to make fried spring rolls first. This can be considered our ‘national’ dish for holidays and gathering feasts. It will require the flexibility of your hands to make even and lovely rolls. Then move to papaya salad with the main flavors of sour and sweet. Enjoy meal with all the dishes made by you.

I had the most amazing time at Lee’s cooking class! From the moment we arrived, Lee made us feel so welcome and comfortable. She has such a friendly personality, which made the whole experience fun and relaxed. We started with a local market visit where Lee showed us how to pick the freshest ingredients and explained about Vietnamese fruits and vegetables. Back in the kitchen, she guided us step-by-step through each dish — everything from spring rolls to egg coffee— and she shared lots of useful cooking tips that we can use at home. The food turned out absolutely delicious. I’d recommend this class to anyone visiting Hanoi, — you’ll have a great time and leave with a full stomach. Thank you, Lee, for such a memorable day! 🌿🍜
