Hanoi
We will arrange for your pickup either from your hotel in the Old Quarter or our designated MEETING POINT. You will be transported to the outskirts of Hanoi in a comfortable minivan or car, which takes around 30 minutes to escape the bustling city. Once we reach the village, our Hanoi Countryside Sidecar Tour begins, allowing you to explore the authentic countryside that is rarely visited by tourists. This is a unique opportunity to witness the daily lives of local people. Encounter local farmers at work on the rice paddies, vegetable and flower farms, orchards, and bonsai gardens, as well as livestock and cattle such as water buffaloes, ducks, and chickens farms. It offers a contrasting experience to the hustle and bustle of city life and provides a truly eye-opening perspective.
Co Loa Citadel
Our main destination for the day is the Co Loa ancient citadel. This historic site dates back to 280 BC and offers a captivating insight into Vietnamese culture, history, and mythology through its well-preserved architecture. Additionally, we delve deep into the traditional way of life in rural Hanoi with activities such as wet rice farming, exploring local farmer markets, and witnessing the production of handicrafts. Co Loa village is like a living museum, presenting the essence of Vietnamese culture and daily life. We conclude our incredible day with a meal at a local family’s home, enjoying an authentic Vietnamese meal. Here, we have the opportunity to indulge in authentic Vietnamese cuisine and forge a meaningful connection with the local culture.

This was a wonderful experience! We were picked up in the morning at our hotel and rode on the back of vespas to an area outside of the city where we sat by the river in a small park and had delicious fruit tea. Then we rode a bit further to a small village and got into side cars. Off to rice paddies, temples, the Citadel - famous temple honoring an early king- where we heard the folktales of this site and fed the carp in the lake. Onward to a lotus flower farm where we drank coffee or special lotus tea and relaxed. Then to a family home where the grandmother made us a delicious typical and elaborate family meal. Our guide was informative and delightful. Altogether a special day, better by far than we expected. We highly recommend it!

We had a great time on the Hanoi Sidecar Tour with our guide, Huy. He coordinated with us the night before and was on time for pick-up. Even though it was raining during our tour, Huy made sure we were comfortable by providing rain jackets and encouraging us to enjoy the ride—and we genuinely did. Riding through Hanoi's busy streets in the rain turned out to be a fun and unforgettable part of the experience. We were brought to a local family’s home where we were served a delicious homecooked meal. The hosts were warm and welcoming, and Huy gave thoughtful insights into Vietnamese culture throughout the visit. We also stopped by temples and rice fields, where we were able to take some beautiful photos. We happened to be the only guests that day, so even though it wasn’t a private tour, it felt very personalized. Overall, a unique and well-organized experience that we’d definitely recommend to anyone looking to explore Hanoi beyond the usual city spots.

A truely unique tour which takes you out of the hustle and bustle of Hanoi. Had such a good time seeing the local sites on a more of transport which you most likely would have never experienced. The vesper and side car was lots of fun. Very safe and had a fantastic guide Huy who was a wealth of information and Ken who was too. The home visit and lunch was amazing as well, we felt very welcomed being invited to homes of locals and treated to a feast and tour of Vietnamese way of life. Would recommend to anyone who visits Hanoi 10/10 stars.

We loved everything about this tour. The sidecars were obviously lots of fun but if you are just looking for an adrenaline experience you should book something else. Because this tour has a lot more - an excellent, funny and extremely knowledgeable guide (John/Doanh), an opportunity to eat a meal in an actual family home, a sensory experience with herbs and crops, visits to graveyards and temples and villages that you would never see normally. Come with an open mind and heart - you won’t regret it

This was a great tour in so many ways! John was our tour guide and we were picked up at our hotel and take to the sidecar location and we rode on the back of scooters! That was so fun! John and Luke made us feel safe. At the sidecar location we were treated to local prepackaged breakfast items and hot tea with a lovely woman. The sidecars were very comfortable and we went to a village temple, took picture on a bridge, visited and learned about Vietnamese cemetery histories, and a rural farm. The farmland was a highlight and we learned so much about the soil, the foods, and the traditions. Then we had a home cooked huge lunch back at the sidecar location using organic produce!
