Start your tour at the meeting point at No.47 Hàng Bông street, and head to a traditional restaurant specializing in entrees such as pillow cake, shrimp cake, Pho rolls, and spring rolls. Have a taste of some popular and classic Vietnamese dishes. Then head over to the nearby St. Joseph’s and stop for some pictures of the late colonial French architecture. Along the way make sure to stop at a local restaurant to try banh cuon (filled rice noodles) and watch as skilled chefs demonstrate how this tasty dish is created. Next, enjoy pho (noodle soup), which is Vietnam’s most famous dish. Try both the beef and chicken versions. Definitely don't miss out on a Vietnamese traditional dessert called chè. There are both hot and cold versions for each season. After several dishes, you will be full and satisfied. Catch a taxi and head straight to the train street. Although according to official schedules, the train will come daily, sometimes they do and sometimes not, so if we're lucky, we may catch one and see the huge train passing with our own eyes. While here, enjoy egg coffees at a nice shop trackside and experience the unique ambiance. When you finish enjoying the drinks, hop on a taxi again to go back to the meeting point where the tour ends. For those who would love to have a different look of the bustle and hustle streets in Hanoi, select the cyclo option in which you can sit back and enjoy surrounding sceneries in quiet comfort.

I really enjoyed my first exploration into North Vietnamese food. Ashley took us to three restaurants and a cafe on train street to watch the train pass us by twice. She was very informative regarding the Vietnamese traditional food such as Pho, Bun Cha and Bahn My. Plus we had a great sticky rice and coconut dessert.. she did set a cracking pass but it was incredibly busy as it was on a Sunday night leading into a national holiday and the restaurants were very busy.

Our energetic and enthusiastic guide Tom made this a memorable tour. So much tasty Vietnamese food to try-all so fresh and delicious. Highlight was sipping beers on train street as the train went past. Highly recommend this tour ( and with Tom).

I had an awesome time with Stella!!! She had such great, bubbly energy and was very good at making everyone feel at home. She also introduced us to Vietnamese foods we've never tried before, although we have Vietnamese friends and have been to Vietnam before. I was very pleasantly surprised. We did this tour right before we had to leave for our flight, and despite having some negative experiences earlier in our trip before the tour, I do want to thank Stella for letting us end our trip to Hanoi with a fun and great time. Thanks again! Also, we did the train part. I kid you not, we saw it pass by 5 times. I think only two were scheduled, the rest were "surprise" or unexpected. So, you definitely have many chances to get your train shot.

We had a fantastic tour with our guide Zoey. Great food, drink and lots of fun. Nice sized group of 10 people. Highlight was that we got to experience two trains coming through train street! Wow! Company were really responsive to the messages we sent which was very helpful.
