This is one of the first ever official JDM drift car experience activity in Japan provided by Matenro Drift Racing. You will experience the mecca of Japanese drift culture by going to a local drift car meet. The activity offers the opportunity to actually ride along in a drift car, allowing you to immerse yourself in the thrill of drifting. For safety, we will provide you with a helmet and gloves for free, so you can be assured about safety. If you prefer not to ride in the car, you can still witness drifting up close or from the stands.
All events are organized officially by a drift team JDM so all people who attend are drift car lovers and fanatics. We can take pictures and videos of you when you are actually on the car as well.

What To Expect
Drifting is a culture that originated in Japan. It is widely embraced by people around the world, and now many visitors come to Japan from all over the globe to experience Japanese drifting culture. You will be able to ride on the passenger seat of a real JDM drift car in an officially organized circuit. You will have 1 round guaranteed (about 8 - 10minutes) of immersive drift car experience. You may be able to get multiple rides depending on the day. You can also spectate the live action from the stands if you wish. We will provide you with helmets and gloves so please just bring a long sleeve shirt and long pants and sneakers (no sandals) to ride the car.

5.00Glad we got to reschedule for a day that worked because it was such a cool experience! Hiro promptly picked us up and was so kind and friendly. My 19 year old son had the time of his life! It rained but I still got to go with incredible drivers.

4.00The guide was great- friendly and helpful. The drifting itself was incredible once in the car. That said, the ride lasted less than 5 min which felt short for the price paid to the tour operation. It also was not clear we would be getting rides by asking individual drivers on the fly. I appreciated that effort but more transparency about how the drivers are supported would have been nice. We would have loved to know some of what we paid supported their efforts. Still a fun experience overall.
