  Leshan was an incredible guide and I would recommend this to anyone that wants to accomplish a lot in Kyoto in a short time. He was knowledgeable, great at picture taking and brought us to locations away from crowds. His car was clean and he was very friendly. We all learned so much! My family of 5 (three kids under 18) all had a great time in Kyoto and it is because of Leshan. 5 stars!!!

  We had an amazing experience on our Kyoto tour, and a huge part of that was thanks to our incredible tour guide, Leshan. From the moment we met him, Leshan was warm, friendly, and extremely patient and accommodating throughout the entire trip. His knowledge of Kyoto is truly impressive—he took us to beautiful hidden spots, top-rated local restaurants, and perfect photo areas we wouldn’t have found on our own. What really stood out was his ability to connect with everyone in our group, even the kids, who had such a great time during the tour. His English is excellent, and he made everything easy and enjoyable. Not only is he a skilled driver and guide, but he also became our unofficial Instagram photographer—he took such stunning photos for us, capturing moments we’ll treasure forever. With Leshan, you don’t feel like a tourist—you feel like you're traveling with a trusted family driver. We couldn’t recommend him enough if you’re visiting Kyoto. This tour exceeded our expectations in every way!

  Leshan was an incredible tour guide with lots of knowledge of Kyoto and Japan history! We were able to truly customize the tour, he was very flexible with our itinerary as we went about our day.

  We had 3 days in Kyoto and booked a private tour with a driver to cover a lot of ground. Leshan picked us up at our hotel on time and made great proposals on how to structure our day based on the weather (we had some heavy rain showers for half the day) and crowd sizes. He gave us clear umbrellas to protect us from the rain. They were perfect for sightseeing and taking pictures because they let the light through. Leshan helped us with all our needs like finding coffee and getting a quick bite when we got hungry and he took great pictures of us. We were very happy about how our very rainy first day in Kyoto turned out. We saw a lot, stayed relatively dry and were able to avoid the crowds. I recommend a private tour with a driver, especially if you are short on time.
