It’s time to go back to the 1940s. Big Ben no longer sounds. Air raid sirens are the norm. German bombing raids come under cover of darkness. The population lives with rations and restrictions. Many Brits lay down their lives in Europe and beyond.
With your local expert guide, you will keep calm and carry on, learning about the British resolve and getting the inside scoop on the truth behind Westminster in wartime on this walking tour past important monuments like the Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, the Cenotaph, Ministry of War, 10 Downing Street and Whitehall.
After your small group experience, bid your new-found friend and guide a fond farewell to descend into the War Rooms. At your own pace, discover the miles of strategic bunkers where Winston Churchill and his cabinet were to conduct their part in WW2. This unforgettable location is frozen in time and ready to be discovered once again.

Jeremy, our guide, was excellent: knowledgeable, funny, and charismatic. . The 90 minutes of the walking tour just flew by. The self-guided tour of the War Rooms was amazing, and as real Churchill aficionado, I learned so much more.

We’ve done alot of walking tours over the years and all over the world. Nathan was our favorite guide we’ve ever had. You can tell he has a true passion for what he’s guiding and also how history plays into today as well. Has no problem presenting true history. We’d read a book if Nathan had one.

Jeremy is very funny and knowledgeable. He has a very dry sense of humor and he makes the history come alive. The Churchill War Rooms were a mixed success for my kids. My 14 year old son is a history buff and loved it. My 11 year old daughter lost interest about 10 minutes in.
