Combining the history of Louisiana cuisine and New Orleans-style cocktails, this event is a feast for the senses!
Along with your guide you will visit up 6 locations: award-winning seafood restaurants, James Beard Award-nominated craft cocktail lounges, Creole restaurants, artisanal candy stores and more.
Once inside you’ll sample up to 6 or more different dishes that represent the modern expressions of our culinary heritage: classic dishes like gumbo, and muffulettas, but also new interpretations like sweet fried plantains with lime crema!
We'll also enjoy 4 full-sized cocktails like the refreshing Pimm's Cup, the rum-heavy Hurricane, the classic Daiquiri and more!
This 4-hour gastronomic odyssey is our way of showing you where we like to go now, and what we like to eat and drink once we're there.
With so many dining and drinking options in New Orleans, why not try up to 6 different places in one fell swoop?!

French Quarter
The walking tour begins inside the award-winning Red Fish Grill in the French Quarter neighborhood of New Orleans. You will begin with Alligator Sausage & Seafood Gumbo. We also kick the party off with our first cocktail here: the Cat 5 Hurricane. This part of the tour focuses historically on the pre-colonial and colonial period of Louisiana history, and usually lasts about 35 minutes.
Pepper Palace
Moving four blocks down you will enter Pepper Palace, where we begin to discuss the Cajun influence, and sample an unlimited variety of hot sauces, BBQ sauces, Buffalo Wings sauces, salsas, dry rubs and more. Customers on the tour will also receive a free bottle of Louisiana-style hot sauce.

Really nice, classy experience. Our guide, Ben, gave us great history at every stop incorporating food influences intertwined with culture. The food tasting were fantastic. The drinks were unique and had their own origin stories. Surprising little extras that not all tours offer, like being ushered upstairs at Napoleon to see the historic dining room set up for an event. We were a small group of 11 adults and it was the perfect size. It offered a personal take on the tour. A long afternoon, but very interesting and got to see many parts of the French Quarter we'd never see on our own. Highly recommend.

The tour started off right at the RED FISH GRILL in the FRENCH QUARTER with the alligator soup & seafood gumbo along with the category 5 hurricane which packed a extra punch to start off the tour We then strolled over to LEAH’S and had a sample of the traditional praline & received a take home sample of the butter pecan not “Pee-can” that is where you use the restroom apparently LOL Moving along to the PEPPER PALACE, we tried samples of their products & I even purchased a few & had them shipped home for future cooking endeavors Unfortunately we did not get to see the NAPOLEON HOUSE do to a private booking but we did detour to the 3RD BLOCK DEPO & enjoy a sample of hush puppies, truffles & cracklings with pimento cheese all while getting familiar with the history of the Spanish and French colonizations & also with the Louisiana Purchase. Enjoining the Pimm’s cup for our beverages which was just a bit bitter yet refreshing after the taste set in Then on to visit the TABLEAU by DICKIE & BRENNA & CO where we were further educated on Le Petit Theater and the surrounding area along with a balcony view of the Jackson Square also enjoying a beverage of the French 75 which was a tad sweet & sour We did end the venture with the fried plantains & the classic daiquiri which was distinct compared to the daiquiri’s of today’s development yet still pleasant During each separate part of our journey to our final destination we where in formed on the history of the architectural structures, the cultural diversity, along with fun facts & the who’s & what’s of today Ben was very charming & charismatic in he’s delivery on the history of Louisiana along with he’s noticeable wit to interact with the tourists

We had an awesome time on the New Orleans food, cocktail, and history tour! Ben was amazing. He was super knowledgeable about the food and drinks of the city, and you could tell he really loves what he does. He shared tons of fun stories and gave us great recommendations for other spots to try afterward, including where to catch the best jazz. His tips alone were worth it! The tour is definitely on the pricier side, but honestly, the food portions were way bigger than I expected and every cocktail was delicious. I left full, happy, and with a whole new appreciation for New Orleans food and culture. If you’re on the fence, go for it, especially if you’re lucky enough to get Ben as your guide!
