Fred was an excellent guide, with local and historical knowledge. He described these world saving events in an easy way to understand. We asked about people using the beaches today for leisure and he shared a conversation I will never forget. He said a vet told him “they weren’t fighting so later generations could visit a museum, but so the world could be free.” Having this experience with my 17 year old made it more emotional as my wife and I both had grandfathers, who were not much older when they were there. I highly recommend!

We met in Bayeux and our host was Marie. She knew a lot. During the short drive to the coast she explained the beginning of the war leaiding up to D-Day. She took us through Pt Du Hoc , Omaha beach , and the American memorial. It was phenomenal.
