We had a great tour guide, extremely well informed on the subject matter. Dress in layers, it can get cold on the bluffs.

A must. Our guide was so knowledgeable and had so much to tell us that we could not have learned otherwise.

We had a family member who was a hero at Omaha Beach on D-Day. He knew all about him and took special care to show us the area where he was and describe exactly he did on that day. Our guide made the tour very special!

We did the half day your from Bayeux. This was a very informative tour! It ended up being a small group of 4 instead of probably 8 in the van. Pierre was well versed in D-Day history. For people without the depth of knowledge of the second world war definitely benefited from his talks at the locations we stopped: Pointe Du Hoc, Omaha Beach, and the American Cemetery in Colleville -sur-Mer. The tour allowed us to walk each site alone for a small time. Our last stop was the cemetery right at 4 pm which corresponds with their end of day flag lowering ceremony and the playing of taps. It can be an overwhelming moment but I encourage everyone that has a tour to make sure it's like this one where the tour ends at the cemetery. We are thankful we found Bayeux Shuttle tour through Viator. If you are doing this tour in Bayeux, parking is very hard to come by and is paid 9a-12p and 2-7pm usually in 3 hour lengths.there is free parking but it's hard to come by. Try coming by train or other way into Bayeux.

This was an eye opening experience. Our guide Charles was so very good. His descriptions and details brought it all to life. For Americans this is such an important moment in history and he made it clear and meaningful for us.
