Your hosts Paolo and Simone learned how to grow and make wine, how to make pasta from scratch, and of course how to prepare wonderful local delicacies from their Nonna. You'll get a glimpse of this characteristic town and it's rich history dating back to Roman times. After a short walk, you'll arrive at a beautiful wine cellar where your hosts will open the wines produced at the family vineyard, namely Frascati Superiore D.O.C.G. (don't worry, you'll learn what all those initials mean!) and Vagnolo. After tasting each wine with some traditional appetisers, the pasta making begins! Our chef will teach you how to make real homemade pasta, so be ready to get your hands dirty! Once you have mixed and rolled out your pasta you will be faced with a difficult choice, WHICH Roman style dish would you like to create? Choose from three typical recipes, Carbonara, Amatriciana, or Cacio e Pepe and let the chef guide you through the basics of preparation. The grand finale? Buon Appetito! Sit and enjoy your pasta while conversing with the other guests for as long as you like. After dinner you'll have a chance to view the "caves" below the wine cellar.

Fantastic experience making pasta with Niko! He picked us up at the train station and walked us through a small portion of the town while telling us about the history of Frascati. Then we arrived to the pasta-making location and was warmly welcomed with two glasses of their family produced wine. The pasta-making class was so fun! And the staff was very nice, friendly, patient and understanding about us translating to our family (they don’t speak English very well so we made breaks and I translated). Very much worth the ride if you want to get away from Rome’s busy turist life for a more quiet and relaxed day… Big thumbs up from us!!!

The whole experience was absolutely outstanding. The host was brilliant, really knowledgeable and engaging, especially during the wine tasting and pasta making parts. Getting to make the pasta from scratch and then enjoy it at the end was amazing. The class was shared with other families and couples, which made it even better. It was great getting to know people, hearing about their local interests, and where they were from. Overall, the afternoon was superb. Great value for money and such a fun, authentic experience. I’d highly recommend this to anyone visiting!

This was an awesome experience. Rosie was the ultimate in tour guides. She exuded the love of her small town and for her family. Was nice to see a few sights in the town and to know the history of them. "From Scratch" was where we were taken to learn about the wine they make and the pasta we were going to learn to make. So much knowledge was shared and many laughs had at our family dining table. Pasta making is not easy but worth the effort, when made right. Options of sauces and what goes in them then we sat to eat the fruits of our labors. Loved that we were getting to support a local family who figured out a way to combine their love of wine and pasta with all of us. Thanks again Rosie!!❤️

It was so much fun and meeting great people! It started with the tour of the town on the way to the wine and pasta cooking class. Don't leave Rome without being part of an awesome experience. You will enjoy the tour, wine tasting, and eating your own pasta. The staff will make you feel as part of their family.
