Your hosts Paolo and Simone learned how to grow and make wine, how to make pasta from scratch, and of course how to prepare wonderful local delicacies from their Nonna. You'll get a glimpse of this characteristic town and it's rich history dating back to Roman times. After a short walk, you'll arrive at a beautiful wine cellar where your hosts will open the wines produced at the family vineyard, namely Frascati Superiore D.O.C.G. (don't worry, you'll learn what all those initials mean!) and Vagnolo. After tasting each wine with some traditional appetisers, the pasta making begins! Our chef will teach you how to make real homemade pasta, so be ready to get your hands dirty! Once you have mixed and rolled out your pasta you will be faced with a difficult choice, WHICH Roman style dish would you like to create? Choose from three typical recipes, Carbonara, Amatriciana, or Cacio e Pepe and let the chef guide you through the basics of preparation. The grand finale? Buon Appetito! Sit and enjoy your pasta while conversing with the other guests for as long as you like. After dinner you'll have a chance to view the "caves" below the wine cellar.

It was a wonderful afternoon - first, the meeting point was at the Frascati train station (easy for everyone), and then it was a nice stroll, a little walk (the history of the city told along the way) to the pasta factory. Warm welcome, seats taken around the table, aprons on, then two glasses of wine poured - white and red. Small appetizer with cheese, mortadella, and dry sausage like Jesus (other options for vegetarians and lactose intolerant). And then we got our hands in the dough 😀 (gluten-free flour available if needed). Things done, complete pride. While our creations rested, we went down to the basement to see the old cellar and bomb shelter from the war and learned about the family's history. Afterward, we returned upstairs to cook our (really what we made individually) pasta and the sauce of our choice. I was very moved to have eaten what I made, and it was just as good as at restaurants. Very good teachers. The next time I am in the area, I will return just for the pleasure, the atmosphere, and a very nice moment with other people. 10 Americans and the two of us French. The size of the group is perfect. You can buy the wine tasted on site, but I hope that next year we can visit the vineyard, tour it, and buy as well. I highly recommend going to the Start from Scratch workshop in Frascati to make your own pasta and have a great time 💖

Do not book HERE! Scam Company! They falsely advertised that they are in ROME, they are located an hour and half outside of Rome by car ride. As a tourist who is not familiar with Rome, how am I supposed to be know where Frascati is, my filter was set to 'Things to do in Rome' why is this scam company showing up as an option?? terrible customer service as well. There are a thousand other places to do this in Rome, do not waste your limited precious time you have on vacation to go here.

Fantastic experience. Enjoyed visiting the wine cellar and learning the family history. Feel like we can go home and make pasta on our own. Our group was small, may have been more fun with more people but recommend to everyone and would do it again.
