Your hosts Paolo and Simone learned how to grow and make wine, how to make pasta from scratch, and of course how to prepare wonderful local delicacies from their Nonna. You'll get a glimpse of this characteristic town and it's rich history dating back to Roman times. After a short walk, you'll arrive at a beautiful wine cellar where your hosts will open the wines produced at the family vineyard, namely Frascati Superiore D.O.C.G. (don't worry, you'll learn what all those initials mean!) and Vagnolo. After tasting each wine with some traditional appetisers, the pasta making begins! Our chef will teach you how to make real homemade pasta, so be ready to get your hands dirty! Once you have mixed and rolled out your pasta you will be faced with a difficult choice, WHICH Roman style dish would you like to create? Choose from three typical recipes, Carbonara, Amatriciana, or Cacio e Pepe and let the chef guide you through the basics of preparation. The grand finale? Buon Appetito! Sit and enjoy your pasta while conversing with the other guests for as long as you like. After dinner you'll have a chance to view the "caves" below the wine cellar.

This was a highlight of my trip! I was solo traveling for a few days and wanted something low-key social. I had a great group - 10 Americans of all age ranges. Several of us even went out afterwards together. The instructor (Simone) was amazing. We got a little tour of the town on our walk to the restaurant and also got to explore the family’s bomb shelter / prior winemaking cellar. The experience comes with two 1/2 glasses of wines from the family’s vineyard for tasting, and you can purchase wine by the glass or bottle as well. It was great wine, one DOC and one DOCG. I only wish I’d taken an earlier train to spend some time in the town - it was really cute and a nice change from the crowds in Rome. Super highly recommend this experience! The family nature of it made it feel extra special.

We had a wonderfull time in Frescati !! It started with a quick tour in the city to discover the history of frescati, a visit of the underground of the city (once used as shelter during WWII), wine tasting and of course a cooking class. It was nice and relaxing, we learnt how to make pasta dought and also famous sauce recipes. It was very easy to come from Rome, only 30 minutes intercity train, and we had the time to spend a very Cosy afternoon in the city after the class. I recommend this activity a 100%, the family was so nice and welcoming !!

Wonderful experience, with a very friendly team, a visit to the caves, tasting, and preparation of handmade pasta! For those arriving in Frascati by train, there is also the option of a short walk to discover a bit of Frascati's history. A beautiful experience!

There were only two of us, so we had a private cooking class; it was great, the guide was very nice and explained the history of the city first, then the pasta-making process very well. The wines were also very good!

Our instructor was amazing. I took our three teenage daughters (one was just 12 and he made her feel very included) and they all had a ball. He spent time explaining about local wines, the history of Frascati, history of the vineyards and grapes, wine pairings with our food, the cave system under the town where wine was stored, and a very in depth class on making pasta we all loved. Small group of 6 total was a perfect size. Amazing value for the money and great evening all around. I can’t recommend this enough. We feel so fortunate to have spent an evening here. Thank you!!

This was a fabulous time. We caught a train very easily to the town and it was lovely to walk through the old streets and hear about the culture and history. The pasta making itself was so fun and Frankie was a fabulous host. We also really enjoyed the wine from the family vineyard and bought another bottle to take with us. I highly recommend this to anyone that wants an interesting few hours away from the hustle and bustle.
