What To Expect

You will go to the market with your cooking instructor to buy ingredients and learn about different herbs and spices, and come back to our kitchen to cook the 5 dishes you chose. After that you will have the meal with your hand-on cooked food. You will get to taste our home made rice wine. In the end of the class you will get a cook book and certificate.

Overall, this was pretty good. We were really interested in learning how to make the dishes we'd chosen, as we'd like to make them back home. The quality of instruction was really high, it was fun, the food was great. The only downside is that they indicated they'd email us the recipes for the dishes, as they didn't have a printed copy. And they never did. They did give us a copy of a couple of the recipes, with some other things, but we didn't get recipes for all of the five dishes we learned, and I'm not sure if we can make them all once we get home. We still had a really good time, though.

We both really enjoyed the private class with Jane. Buying the food in the market was really interesting then we prepared the food and finally ate it. It was great having the choice of dishes to cook and we look forward to making them when we get home to new zealand. We re immensely this as a pleasant and interesting activity for couples.

NHI was a fabulous teacher. I enrolled in the private session and she took her time to explain the method and was patient in answering all my questions. Her insight during the market tour was a highlight. I learned a lot about the Vietnamese culture. The cooking session flowed well. Highly suggest to request NHI at Apron Up!
