Even with limited time in Rome, you can visit Pompeii, the Amalfi Coast, and Positano in one day with this full-day private tour. Get an early start with hotel pickup, then admire the scenery on the drive to Pompeii. Have time to visit Pompeii independently, then go back in your private vehicle to reach the Amalfi Coast and a stop in Positano to spend two splendid hours among the narrow streets of this wonderful Positano. Travel in comfort in a private, air-conditioned vehicle. A stop during the journey before arriving in Pompeii is allowed for a coffee or to buy some snacks. Hotel pickup and drop-off are included. Our cars can accommodate up to 7 passengers, up to 6 passengers our cars have 6 comfortable seats while if there are 3 passengers or less then you travel with a comfortable 5-seater car.

What To Expect
Pompeii
Travelers will be picked up at the hotel indicated by them with a classic car or a minivan based on the number of passengers, the guide or driver will welcome travelers inside the hotel and verify the booking. The journey will last approximately 2 hours to arrive in Pompeii, during the journey travelers will be able to have 15/20 minute breaks available for a coffee or a sandwich at a refreshment point. The journey to Pompeii is not very scenic but you can admire Vesuvius. In Pompeii, travelers will visit an ancient Roman city near modern Naples. Pompeii, along with Herculaneum and many villas in the surrounding area was buried under 4-6 m (13-20 ft) of volcanic ash and pumice in the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD. the inhabitants were also buried before they could escape. The cost of the ticket to visit the excavations is included in the price and a local guide is also included for groups of approximately 18. To arrive 2 hours.
Positano
To get to Positano from Pompeii the journey takes approximately 1.15 hours. The journey is very scenic, certainly one of the most sought-after attractions in the world. You will be able to admire the Gulf of Naples in its entire beauty and then pass through the Amalfi coast where it will be possible to stop in front of the landscape of Sorrento to take some photos. The journey continues with other fantastic views that can only be admired on the Amalfi coast. Once they arrive in Positano, customers will be able to visit this town on the Amalfi coast, in southern Italy. It is a very popular tourist destination with pebble beaches and narrow, steep streets full of shops and cafes. Travelers will therefore be able to walk, go shopping and have lunch in one of the town's restaurants. The cost of the restaurant is not included in the price, but I remind travelers that in addition to restaurants there are many cafes where slices of pizza or sandwiches are sold. 3.30 hours return

5.00What an amazing day. Our guide was on time and easy to communicate with. He made stops for us during the drive, including a stop at a lemoncello factory along the Amalfi coast as well as perfect stops for photo ops. When we arrived to Positano he had a reservation set up for us at a restaurant on the beach. The food and view were spectacular. Highly recommend this tour as it was a highlight of our trip.

5.00Amazing tour. This was a Mother/daughter trip to Rome. I opted for the personal car since my daughter is pregnant and prone to car sickness. She sat in front with Max (excellent driver, very smooth) and she had no problem. It was a long day but very much worth it. Andrea drove alongside us with a nice family from Australia and we all did the Pompeii tour together with Franchesca, a very knowledgeable guide. Next we headed to the Almafi Coast and stopped in Positano for several hours of sightseeing and lunch on our own. We both enjoyed the day immensely and would highly recommend.

5.00We had a great day with Andrea, our driver. Got to Pompeii swiftly and safely and then was set loose to use the guided tour or the audio tour. Spent 2 hrs before moving on to Positano. We would have rather just stayed at Pompeii as we didn't see much of it and the beach at Positano was ridiculously packed. Had a nice dinner and then headed back to Rome quite exhausted.
Recommend to anyone traveling to Rome!

5.00Marco was our driver and was prompt for arrival and provided adequate breaks along the way. He was helpful to guide us for where we needed to be and give recommendations. As you venture into Positano there are many places to shop and eat and suggest you make plans in advance for where you want to go and spend your time. The views are amazing we enjoyed our time. It was a long day, but nice to have a driver! Thanks Marco!

5.00We had the most amazing family tour from Rome to Pompeii, the Amalfi Coast and Positano with My Great Tour! Not only everything was perfect, but we felt, in every instance, that Anrea our driver and guide truly cared about us, both the kids and adults, and did his absolute best to make this trip memorable!! He texted us the day before to confirm pick up time at our apartment hotel and the very next day he was at our doorstep promptly at 7 am. We knew leaving from Rome this would be a long day BUT it was obvious we were in great hands. Anrea was very charismatic, attentive and warm, we didn't feel rushed at all. For our children (aged 5,7 and 9) this definitely was the most eye-opening, adventurous, and stunning journey of their lives! For us adults we were pleasantly surprised by the diversity of our trip: from archaeological sites to the gorgeous Amalfi coast to the charming town of Positano. He stopped at strategic points along the coast for those picture perfect memories and even helped us book a restaurant in front of the beach at Positano. It worth to mention he ensured the owner payed special attention to us. Truly unforgettable. If you care for a 10 star tour with someone that cares and will go the extra mile to ensure you have the best experience possible - then book this tour!! Our family loved it and we will definitely be booking other tours with him again!!!

5.00What a fantastic private day tour experience to Pompei and Positano for my girlfriend’s birthday surprise this was. The day could not have been more perfect and we owe it to our driver Andrea. He was punctual, handled all the translations including surprising us with 2 reservation options to beach front restaurants after we came back from the Pompei tour - I simply asked for suggestions, he went above and beyond. Pompei was impressive, gave you a good sense for daily Roman life and Positano had breath taking views especially on the drive there. I would highly recommend this experience especially if you’re in the care of someone like Andrea. Thank you for the wonderful memories My Great Tour and especially you, Andrea!
