Micheal did a fabulous job with the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island tour. He was very informative and had a lot of information we would not have recieved otherwise. The booking was easy and the experience was well worth the money.

People should know to dress warm when on the boat because of the breeze and to wear comfortable shoes for walking. Also, make sure enough time is allowed for going into the museum . It is an impressive monument.

We took this tour as a mother/daughter trip to NYC. We debated about whether to take the 2-hour or the 4-hour trip and ended up with the 4-hour trip. The Ellis Island part was very interesting and we were able to spend time there after the tour ended to look up family members who emigrated. I'm so glad we booked a tour. Our tour guide was Meri and she was outstanding! We were among hundreds of people that day and she was great about giving us tips on the best spots on the ferry, where to stand, when to start making our way to the exits, etc. She gave us all kinds of backstory about the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. She also gave us other suggestions for NYC during our waiting in line time! On the day we went, there were a few middle school field trips, which was a little annoying because the kids were quite loud, running around, and not listening to their chaperones. I was a little scared on the boat ride because I was afraid I'd get knocked over by one of them. There is a bit of waiting in line for the boat (to go to Liberty Island, to leave Liberty Island, to leave Ellis Island, etc.) so keep that in mind if you have trouble standing for long periods of time.

This tour allows you to reflect and appreciate the history of what this country (more specifically, this city offers). If you get Michael as your guide, consider yourself lucky (although I’m sure anyone from TopDogs tours are all tops!) ☺️ Michael’s style of story telling history brings it to life. Highly recommend!

This was a great tour but would recommend for older kids. Mine are 5 and 7 and were not attentive enough to appreciate our wonderful tour guide.

My father and I went on this tour. He is older and has some mobility constraints. Our tour guide Maddy was extremely patient and did not rush at any point, even when he needed to rest or took some time to get from point A to B. The information she provided was thorough and interesting and it was helpful to have someone who to not only answer historical questions but help with logistics.
