The actual feeding of the reindeer was over very quickly. Very little background to the Sami culture was provided. The reindeer stew was bland and stodgy.

The tour got cancelled due to a power outage at the camp. We were informed one minute before the tour was supposed to start, there were no others booking possibilities offered. We feel like the main attraction here is the reindeers, not the food cooked at the camp. We would have appreciated to still be able to visit the reindeer, as we didn’t get to see any at all in our vacation this way. We understand a power outage is nothing the camp can control and we absolutely hope for them they were able to fix it within a timely manner. A earlier communication or optional Programm would have been highly appreciated tho.

Tricky one Run by the Sami people so that’s good. Efficient pick up- 2 big coaches. Lack of snow don’t help this experience thinking about it, the reindeer are fenced in an area with an electricity pylon in it. The whole was about an hour too long. People were waiting at the tables in the tent for ages before the food was served. Very tasty stew with nice bread. Cookies- shop packets, not great. Excellent talk about Sami culture when it eventually happened. If you can see reindeer in a small group and can afford that I’d personally suggest might be a better experience

Great experience feeding the reindeer. They even offer feed refills if you are quick to go get one before they run out. Transport to and from well organised and the meal was very generously sized too

We were very happy with this activity. Although quite short but there is not much more to do. A bit pricy considering is only 2,5 hours and around 40 minutes are used for transfers (in and out). The experience is great and the girl guide we had in the bus made the trip very short and enjoyable. Sami guides and tent were as expected, natural, original and authentic. It is expensive indeed but I will recommend it very much for those who wants to enjoy the animals close and live.

I can only recommend this experience to anyone. We really had a wonderful time. The animals are super cute and very sweet and just want to be fed. The nature was breathtaking and our guide who introduced us to the Sami culture was also great. A 10/10, the money is worth spending ☺️

We toyed with husky sled ride or reindeers and went with reindeers, so glad we did. We were collected at 10am and taken on a scenic route to the reindeer where we got to feed them. Magical being so close to them and feeding them. Loved every minute. It was cold so good warm clothes and gloves a must even though at -4 it was mild for the reindeers! Our guide John Michael was entertaining, educational and interesting to listen to explain the Sami culture and their history. Lunch was good with an alternative if you don’t fancy the reindeer stew! Sled ride with them also very cool. Truly are magnificent creatures and so obviously well cared for. Left at 2pm to return to Tromso. Well worth it

Lovely time feeding reindeer and learning about the Sami culture. All staff were brilliant and the guide was spot on too. 4 hours consisted of an hour each way and two for feeding, lunch and learning. Glad we booked

We had a great time. It was a lot of fun to feed and pet the reindeer. The setting was beautiful, with snow-capped mountains all around. The guide gave a great introduction to Sami culture and the meal was fantastic. We were able to sit with people from a couple of different countries, as well.
