Foro Romano
Just west of the Colosseum is the Roman Forum, which for many centuries was the place where the future of the ancient western civilization was decided. We will also provide you with skip-the-line access to the Roman Forum and you will still be under the careful attention of our expert guide. Although today the Roman Forum stands in ruins, for many reigns it was at the very center of Rome’s activities. It started as a marketplace for daily shopping, but as the power of the Empire grew, it became much more important. In this part of the tour, you will explore the remnants of ancient grandiose temples, bustling marketplaces, and imposing civic buildings. We will also show you the place where Rome first began—on Palatine Hill. Rome’s ancient existence has earned it the name “the Eternal City,” and its time as the ruling city of the lands bordering the Mediterranean Sea has earned it the designation “Capital of the World.”

Great tours and Guides were very knowledgeable, however, I was almost lost after the first few yards, because the first guide outside of the colosseum said he did not care to use a pointer flag so that we could easily locate him, and after an irrate word with him because everyone'e radio was breaking up at only 5 feet from him initially, he stopped to change the frequency. Everyone could hear then, so we proceeded. I made a point to stay close to him from that point on, though... The Colosseum guide's audio was low with her lapel mic clipped to her shirt, so she had to hold it to her mouth for the majority of her portion of the tour. Everything else was great, though, and I would highly recommend the tour, with the addition of a pointer flag for the first guide, especially at the beginning of the tour...

Very well organized. Easy to find the meeting point. Started and ended on time. Both of our tour guides were extremely nice and knowledgeable. We booked a Spanish speaking tour because it was the only one left available that included the underground tunnels of the colosseum. It was so worth it and the language barrier did not take away from the experience. Palatine Hill was absolutely beautiful and equally amazing, but my highlight was definitely the underground portion of the colosseum.

The tour guide provided from the company for the Roman Forum part of the tour was good and easy to understand. The underground part of the tour is essentially a paid way to get the tour that is provided directly by the Colosseum. After the forum is completed the guide essentially takes you to the colosseum and tells you where to find the Colosseum guides inside. The staff at the Colosseum demanded to take pictures of my purchase receipt after scanning the ticket so assuming they are starting to attempt to crack down on the third party resale of their underground tour guides. But the underground tour was awesome!
