Great opportunity to see history outside the center of Rome. Very informative, passionate, and friendly guide explains all about the Appian way, Rome’s ancient main road - which you get to walk a part of. The aqueduct visit is really interesting and doesn’t involve much walking. The bones at the catacombs have been removed years ago and for me this was the least interesting part of the trip. But I’m sure others will love it, the history behind it is good. If your not fit get a taxi to the meeting point.

Thanks for a great tour and I think the guide's name was Ali. We just got into Rome in July and it was very hot, almost 100 degrees and we didn't know what to do. I was worried the Catacombs would be claustrophobic for me but I did well and it was a very serene and nice place. We had a great guide who worked there too. It was nice to see the Appian Way and the aqueducts and get out of the downtown of Rome. I like how the guide mentioned that it was a lesser seen place in Rome and I like how it wasn't crowded like many places in the summer. I would recommend good walking shoes and not sandals like we wore for the uneven roads. Overall great tour and thanks! Meeting Point: Could be a more centrally located place since my Uber dropped me off at the Piramide (the actual pyramid) and not the Metro station named this. It said it would be across from the Piramide Metro Station and we saw buses there which were mostly city buses and thought they would meet us there and another family was also confused. Then we saw the guide with a small sign in front of the Metro station and the "across" mean a different way. Just saying that maybe a clearer pickup point would help tourists who don't know the area. I read another review that said they missed the tour due to this and I would hate that to happen to anyone else. Otherwise, it was one of the best tours we did in Rome and the Catacombs are great on a hot day!
