The guide did not meet us at 3 as arranged; there was no show at 3 so we waited until the next show at 4.10 but still no giuide to give us our tickets. The lady at the outside ticket office said our ticket was only for the audio guide only, not entrance to the show. By then we were hot and disappointed, so gave it a miss. 80 minutes and $12 wasted! The line was not long so advise people to not waste time and money on a Viator booking, just roll up!

We’ve booked multiple excursions with Viator throughout Thailand and Vietnam and felt we recover good value. The Slip the Line VIP for Water Puppet show was the exception. We paid $16 US pax to Viator. VIP seats were allocated to rows A-E. The seats we were assigned were in row E ( last of the VIP ). The walk up price is 200,000 Dong for VIP seating at the ticket office. There was no line! 200,000 Dong equates to $7.70 US hence we ended up paying double for VIP seats to Viator when there were plenty of VIP seats available at the walk up ticket office. And at least Viator could have assigned us a seat in row A or B to make up for the double cost. Don’t use Viator for this event. Go to the ticket office directly and select your seat and save 1/2!

Experience was great aside from the VIP tickets were sold out but they gave us the best possible tickets they could from the next section and told us they would be refunding us the difference.

The show was actually great, but the one star was because I had booked this activity a year ago as VIP TICKETS. There is nothing VIP about it so don't waste your money. The seating was absolutely disgusting when you pay for VIP seats. I believe the Tour company get the money for VIP tickets from Viator, but then just books standard tickets.

Not what I expected but it was different. Mixed thoughts. Would not say it's a must on a visit to Hanoi.
