This cooking class offers cultural immersion in Dadaocheng, blending Taipei’s history with authentic flavors. Beyond simple recipes, you’ll master Taiwanese cuisine by cooking from scratch, uncovering raw techniques behind every dish.
The journey starts in the Dihua Old Street and the traditional market, exploring connections between food, religion, and heritage. To ensure an interactive experience, we maintain a small-group limit of six.
Led by Alex, our LGBTQ+-friendly sessions help you integrate into the local lifestyle. This experience transforms a meal into a history lesson, letting you taste the spirit of old Taipei.

An experience worth having to learn a classic recipe from the local cuisine. But also, and above all, to engage in something new and unexpected. Very beautiful and very tasty. The environment is clean and well-kept. The chef guide is very friendly and knowledgeable. With excellent English, she talked to us about the cuisine but also about their traditions with many curious and fun nuances. And in the end, under her careful guidance, we prepared exquisite dishes. To be repeated!

It was a very enjoyable cooking class. It was interesting to see how the pork was used in Okinawa, where I live. This was my first time eating white bitter melon. It was very good. I will try it with the blue bitter melon of Okinawa.

I am deaf, but I was anxious about getting to cook abroad for the first time 💦 But the educators were kind to me and I felt safe because I could speak simple Japanese! The food was so delicious, and I was able to interact and have fun talking with other participants, which made me feel even more secure in a relaxed atmosphere! I'm glad it was such a good experience 🥹
