The skip the line private tour was perfect. Our tour guide Mark was outstanding. Mark made sure our group of 7 girls friends zipped around seeing the highlights and understanding present day Met and how it has evolved. Ask for Mark. We enjoyed his enthusiasm!

It was a really nice experience with Michael showing us around. We were taken through all areas in the time window, which is not easy to do given the size of the museum. We also had special pieces we would've missed otherwise, pointed out through the tour. A little more in-depth knowledge sharing about the artists/sculptors/art pieces would've been great but that was balanced by the span and focus on getting us through all the areas we wanted to get to. Covering such a range of types of art, is no easy task and we appreciated that we were able to move through the crowded museum efficiently and came away with a good understanding of the layout to return as well as key pieces sticking in our minds. Also want to give a shout-out to the customer service team of the tour who were extremely proactive and receptive, making the overall experience that much better. Thank you!

I can’t say enough about our incredible tour with Mark! From the moment we met, he brought The Metropolitan Museum of Art to life with passion, deep knowledge, and a wonderful sense of humor. The Met can be overwhelming with so much to see, but Mark curated the perfect route—highlighting masterpieces while weaving in fascinating stories, historical context, and fun facts that made the art feel personal and alive. What stood out most was how engaging and approachable —answering every question thoughtfully and tailoring the experience to our interests. You could tell he truly loved what he does and that energy is contagious! Whether you’re an art lover or a total beginner, this tour is a must. We left inspired, informed, and already planning to return. Thank you, Mark, for making our visit to The Met a very memorable one!

I visit the met museum all the time when I come to the city! I love the history and how big the museum is where you can easily get lost in time! I love the upstairs rooftop area as well during the season you can grab a drink and look at all the beautiful landscapes and buildings of NYC

It was a really nice experience with Michael showing us around. We were taken through all areas in the time window, which is not easy to do given the size of the museum. We also had special pieces pointed out through the tour. The only thing we felt would've made the tour a better value given it is quite expensive, is if our guide was able to explain the artists/sculptors/art pieces with a greater depth of knowledge. That being said, covering such a range is no easy task and we appreciated that we were able to move through the crowded museum efficiently and came away with a good understanding of the layout to return as well as key pieces sticking in our minds. Thank you Michael!

This was a good overview. The Met is HUGE so detail orientation isn’t feasible. Our guide was very knowledgeable.

We just returned from NYC, where we had the most marvelous private tour of The Met. Mark V. was our guide, and he was absolutely phenomenal, he kept our 9 year old daughter fully engaged for the entire two and a half hours (no small feat!). Mark greeted us with incredible energy and immediately tuned into the kinds of art we each gravitated toward. He tailored the tour on the spot to reflect our interests. I loved the Impressionists, The Met has such an impressive collection of iconic artists. Our daughter was especially drawn to the vibrant, more contemporary pieces and absolutely loved hearing the fun trivia and behind the scenes stories Mark shared. My husband enjoyed everything, but especially the stunning architecture and the Egyptian exhibit. Mark was incredibly knowledgeable about the art, the artists, and the history. His enthusiasm was contagious! We truly can’t say enough great things about him. If you’re considering a private Met tour, book with Mark. You will not be disappointed!
