What a great experience. Worth every cent. We really enjoyed the entire evening. It was entertaining, insightful and had a good laugh. This is by far the best experience we’ve had on our trip so far

The overall experience was highly interactive, informative and entertaining :) The owner (former professional Sumo Wrestler) has done a great job at curating an authentic experience for every type of individual / family member (if you don’t already appreciate & love sumo, you will after this experience!). All of the demo athletes were very personable and endearing. The staff were friendly and couldn’t do enough to elevate the experience. Unfortunately I arrived 30 mins late (my own fault getting on the wrong train but thankfully I built in extra time)… my only negative is that I sent SOS messages to the provider that went unanswered and the address I copied from the confirmation email sent me to a commercial address about 5 mins away from the actual venue… Pro Tip: put ‘Sumo Land’ into google maps and you won’t go wrong. The owner very kindly offered compensation of a free drink but I did not accept as the stress of being late was truly my fault. I missed the mochi pounding, but the sequence of events was cook your own chicken hotpot lunch whilst watching videos and live athlete demonstrations of sumo wrestling, followed by voluntary interactive sumo training and matches. Highly recommended to all!!

Visited Sumoland in Tokyo, owned and hosted by a former professional sumo wrestler. The experience was both entertaining and immersive. The wrestlers gave fascinating insights into the sport’s traditions and techniques, and even invited audience members to participate in light-hearted mock bouts – great fun for all ages. A delicious traditional meal was served, adding an authentic culinary touch to the day. The wrestlers were warm, engaging, and happy to take photos with guests, making everyone feel part of the experience. Highly recommended as a unique and memorable way to round off your time in Japan.
