Mae Khachan Hot Spring
The tour begins with early morning pickup from your accommodation in Chiang Mai and travels north-east to the province of Chiang Rai. Enjoy a quick stop at Mae Kajan, a bubbling hot spring where you can soak your feet and relax before the day of sightseeing ahead.
Wat Rong Khun

Nicely paced day. I didnt quite understand that the hot springs were not the kind you swim in -we only had ten minutes to see them and it was more a shopping push than anything. Paying for use of toilets is new to me. We also visited a tribal village which was a surprise to me but turned out to be a favorite part of the day for me. The white temple is lovely but the exhibition hall, shops and caves all Closed during 12-1 which was when we were there. I advised guide that perhaps We could have planned that better as we went for lunch right after. Blue temple was pretty and we were able to take photos inside. I liked the blue ice cream! Black house was interesting, I’ll have to read more about the use of animal parts before I feel comfortable with the experience.
