I had a great time with Mountain Goat tour to the Dales. Our Tour Guide BEN was a very informed person, well rounded about history, gave us great information, very funny and witty as well. He drove safely and made sure we'll all well during the tours. we stopped at several places as well and had lunch at the creamery. I would recommend the tour to anyone who wants to discover the dales.

We only came across the Mountain Goat Tours whilst scrolling through a Visit York webpage and were intrigued. As neither of us drive and both walk with sticks, we would never be able to get to the Dales by ourselves so this seemed a perfect way to enjoy the scenery and get some information as well. The tour is £67 per person, but we were able to get an offer which was welcome. This includes travel in a 16 seater Mercedes minibus, which was very comfortable, a fabulous guide (ours was Lee) who gives commentary and ready to answer all questions plus entry into Bolton Castle. We were picked up at 9am and taken through beautiful countryside as Lee explained what Dales we were going through and the history attached to the area. There were plenty of of stops to see places and Lee was excellent in pointing out where the toilets were, decent pubs/cafes for food and being an all round fabulous lad. We thoroughly enjoyed our day, getting back around 5.30pm as planned. Would definitely consider using their tour services again if in the area.

The day long Yorkshire Dales tour ticked all the boxes. The views were incredible and the stops at the church and castle were very interesting. I’m a fan of All Creatures Great and Small so I enjoyed the stop at the lovely village where it is filmed. Our guide and driver, Ben A., was kind, funny and very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend a Mountain Goat Tour especially with Ben!

This tour was one of the highlights of our trip to the U.K. We are big fans of the BBC / PBS show "All Creatures Great and Small", set in the Dales, and this tour included several stops related to the show. Our driver and guide, Ben, was a fountain of information throughout the day and expertly navigated the sometimes VERY narrow roads. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for an enjoyable day in the Yorkshire Dales!

What a great day out. Even though the weather wasn’t the greatest it didn’t dampen things for us. John was a great leader and full of history and local facts. Highlights included our time in Grassington, Hawks and the visit to Bolton Castle. Such wonderful scenery.

There was a mixup at the beginning due to an Uber driver, but the Mountain Goat help line and the driver took care of me and I had a wonderful day. Although I had taken a different tour of the Dales the day before, each driver had their own interests and experiences so it didn't feel like a repeat although we visited some of the same places. It is a beautiful part of the country and you appreciate how isolating it can be through the winter months. A tour worth taking.
