Our hike was very impressive. The trails are rocky but clean and maintained. We had a rainy day, but that did not matter. We would do it again.

Amazing hike! We did the red loop which was 3.5 miles and incredible. At the end, a surprising treat awaited us with the best service from Jeremy and Niko! Soursop smoothie with rum added was exactly what we needed! Complimentary plantain chips and sauce too was amazing. This is a must do experience, and definitely don’t skip coming to see the guys at the cafe

Here's a fascinating look into the legacy of the 1968 lava eruption and how the vibrant flora has bounced back to reclaim the land. Our hike in November was with sun, rain, wind, and clouds all playing their part and shifting every few minutes. The 6 km trail is perfect for those with some hiking experience, just be sure to wear sturdy shoes. When you reach the end of the trail, you'll find a smart welcoming cafe offering stunning views and delicious, fresh food—it's a real treat!
