Throughout our history, the Bronx Zoo has been an urban oasis, a place for New Yorkers and visitors from around the globe to escape the concrete jungle and experience the awe and beauty of animals and the natural world.
This spring, your family can explore the all-new Animal Chronicles, a walking trail of more than a quarter mile, featuring immersive eco-sculptures that showcase key achievements in the Bronx Zoo’s history of saving animal species and connecting New Yorkers to wildlife.
We are committed to providing safe and healthy experiences for our community. Changes to exhibits and park operations will happen. We will provide advance notice, when possible, but adjustments may also be due to unforeseen conditions.
Thank you for understanding if some exhibits/animals are not available on the day you choose to visit.

If you’re visiting with children, it’s best to enter from the Southern Boulevard entrance as it’s stroller-friendly. Start your day by taking the shuttle to Asia, then ride the monorail. After returning from the monorail, continue exploring all the stops until you reach the Dinosaur Safari and Children’s Zoo, where you can end your day. We arrived at 10 AM and finished by 4:30 PM. The Bronx Zoo is definitely worth visiting!
