Our small group, shared tours are suitable for guillotine-agers and splatter brats over 10 years of age, but younger children are permitted at parent’s own discretion. Gore hounds more than welcome, if friendly and well behaved.

5.00Absolutely superb - it was a fantastic evening and Ross was a truly brilliant host - engaging and friendly and the stories were fantastic, his delivery was absolutely first rate. It was great weather and a small group and I was very happy we had booked this one rather than a group of 20 led by someone in a witches hat and a megaphone. Super interesting ghost stories and history lessons and Ross was truly 10/10. Recommend to everyone to book this tour.

5.00Such an amazing ghost tour!! Ross was knowledgeable, engaging and spooky. We learnt about the ghostly stories but also a lot more! Ross took the time point out details around York we wouldn’t have noticed and happily answered any questions we had. Would definitely recommend!

5.00Man of the year award goes to Ross, our guide !!!! Honestly cannot believe this was £10; it was the best ghost tour of York we could’ve asked for. Ross was considerate, engaging, personable and informative. It was pouring rain & billowing wind, but we didn’t even notice because we were so engaged. If you’re looking to learn about the ghostly history of York, go for character over costume - book this tour, and hope for Ross!

5.00Ross was our guide and he was a GREAT host. He was very interesting to listen to, very informative and willing to give his time despite the miserable weather. He also pointed out many small details that would never have been known or spotted otherwise. We were SO pleased we did his tour and would definitely recommend it. It felt personal and was great value.

5.00Brilliant ghost walk. My daughter's a wheelchair user, and the host really looked after us, as well as the other guests. A lovely way to explore York. I'd suggest taking a torch for the tricky pavements.

5.00I had an absolutely fantastic time on this ghost walk through York. Our guide was entertaining, quick-witted and full of fascinating knowledge about the city’s eerie past. He has that perfect balance of humour and storytelling — keeping the group laughing one minute and hanging on his every word the next. You can tell he really knows his history, but he doesn’t just list facts; he brings the streets and their ghostly legends to life. The route took us through some wonderfully atmospheric corners of York, and I came away feeling like I’d seen the city in a whole new light (and shadow!). If you’re looking for something that’s informative, spooky in just the right way, and hugely entertaining, I’d highly recommend this ghost walk. Whether you’re a local or a visitor, it’s a brilliant way to spend an evening in York.
