Our destination, Upolu Reef, is a very beautiful location situated on the edge of the Outer Barrier Reef, and is teeming with a large variety of interesting marine life and a beautiful array of corals. In the sheltered lagoon you will see a multitude of; giant clams, turtles, sea stars and reef fish. This offers a perfect snorkelling or diving experience in warm clear protected waters. A complementary snorkel guide is available, which offers a fun and informative addition to the day’s exploration.

Unfortunately due to Reef Daytripper’s fixed schedule and for logistical reasons we are unable to accommodate cruise ship passengers.
Guests aged 65 and over are required to wear a snorkel vest during in-water sessions

5.00Sailing out to the Great Barrier Reef with a smaller group was an unforgettable experience. The intimate group size made a huge difference—not only was the day more relaxed and personal, but it also meant our individual needs were met with ease. Whether it was help with gear, spotting marine life, or just sharing fun facts, the crew was always there and happy to help. The staff were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. You could tell they genuinely care about the reef and want to share its beauty in a way that’s respectful and sustainable. Their passion really came through, and it made the experience even more special. We saw so many incredible things—vibrant coral, countless fish, even a turtle! It was hands down one of the best snorkeling trips I’ve ever been on. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a meaningful and awe-inspiring day on the reef.

5.00Such a great day out. Skippers and Captain were really attentive and safe. If you can't swim, this really isn't the trip for you unless you want to stay on the boat - but then you miss out on the whole reason for doing the trip! We saw LOADS of fish, a shark and a sea turtle. If you are prone to sea-sickness take a pill before you go on the trip as two of our guests had a terrible time. This trip was one of the highlights of our Australia holiday and I would thoroughly recommend this adventure.

3.00The snorkeling was beautiful but the crew alienated every passenger at the start with their aggressive management of the paperwork. It’s very difficult to undo first impressions!

3.00Not for senior (65yrs.) travelers. First and foremost they tell you you must wear floatation devices over 65, but what they are, Ill fitting water ski vest, which are I'll fitted and miserable to snorkel in. It's automatic no matter you abilities. There are other, better snorkeling floatation devices, but they don't seem to care. They do provide a good lunch.
