All participants must obtain an International Driving permit (IDP) issued in the form of a booklet under the 1949 Geneva Convention from the Government Authorized Association to drive in Japan.

Vaild IDP are issued only in the country where you issued your national license and cannot be obtained online while traveling.

Under Japanese law, you cannot participate unless you have both a passport and IDP. ※You cannot participate by photo or data. Please make sure to bring both your passport and IDP in physical from on the day.

Drivers' licenses issued in Switzerland, Germany, France, Taiwan, Belgium and Monaco must obtain a Japanese translation of their licenses from the Japan Automobile Federation JAF, not an international driver's license.

A driver's license issued in a country that is not covered by the 1949 Geneva Convention such as Mexico, Kuwait, China, Colombia, Saudi Arabia, etc. cannot be operated in Japan
