To end the day, visit the iconic La Fortuna Waterfall. Get ready to descend a scenic trail with 500 steps surrounded by lush greenery to reach the base of this spectacular cascade. Here, you can take a refreshing swim (weather permitting) in its crystal-clear waters and feel the power of nature up close.

What To Expect

Pick Up in La Fortuna Downtown and Místico Park

Duration:3 hours

Operating Schedule:We start the pick-ups in downtown La Fortuna at 8:40 AM. In some locations, pick-ups may begin a few minutes earlier. After that, we will travel for approximately 30 minutes to Místico Park, where we will begin the first tour, which will last about 2.5 hours.

Lunch in Restaurante el Perezoso

Duration:1 hour

Operating Schedule:Around 12:00 PM, we will arrive at El Perezoso Restaurant in La Fortuna, where we will enjoy lunch from a special menu for about an hour.

La Fortuna Waterfall

Duration:3 hours

Operating Schedule:After lunch, we will head to La Fortuna Waterfall, arriving around 13:30, where we will enjoy the second part of the tour. The tour will conclude between 15:00 and 16:00.

This is a full day of adventure with awesome views from the hanging bridges and some relaxation at the waterfall. We even got to see sloths at the sloth park. There are lots of steps down and up for the waterfall so be prepared.

We had such a great day! Sergio was a great guide and we definitely saw animals we would have never noticed without him! We did the Mistico hanging bridges, lunch, tour of chocolate and coffee farm, and Fortuna waterfall. Beware—Fortuna waterfall is 500 steps down and 500 steps back up!

Sergio was absolutely wonderful as our guide, and we loved the experience. We saw a lot of eyelash vipers and poison dart frogs. 10/10 would recommend.

Great tour. Very friendly and caring guide. Randy made sure I had a great time on my tour, great job spotting animals I’d never see on my own. Having a guide is a must in my opinion. New company, but did not disappoint 👍🏼
