I can help you capture images of these amazing creatures, having over 2000 hours in the gardens for photographic pleasure and I have collected a vast amount of knowledge of where to find the gems of the miniature world. What a fantastic walk. 2.5 hours spotting so many bugs. The passion and information shared was incredible by the tour guide! Everyone on the tour got so into all the bugs and critters, and we saw so many different ones! Would highly recommend.

This activity is for experienced photographers. If you don’t have a macro lens, rent the equipment from Bridgette. Don’t expect tips on taking photographs because few to none are given. I was told to put my camera on automatic. End of advice. Bridgette has an eagle eye for finding spiders, slugs, beetles, and more. While I enjoyed walking in a tropical forest at night, I left early because one hour of not learning anything to improve my skills was more than enough.

It is a unique experience, our group took the 8 spaces on Wednesday night, and went on a night walk in Cairns botanic garden with Bridgette and Ros. It is well organised, and with both experts taking us through, we could see so many creatures in the dark, many different insects, multiple frogs. My parents enjoyed it, I really like it, and even the teenage girls had some good time too exploring and taking photos with micro dice digital camera. Highly recommended if you want a relaxing after dinner walk in the garden you normally would not go in dark.

Until you see them photographed up close, you have no idea how beautiful insects are! I did a night tour and a morning tour with Bridgette and both were fabulous. I definitely recommend the first camera option for a beginner or a child, I hired the second camera option and although it took amazing photos it was a bit of a stretch for me as a complete novice. I highly recommend this experience! I think for me it may be the birth of a new hobby!

I had an absolutely incredible time on this bug and nature walk in the morning. I was able to see many different types of spiders, moths, butterflies, beetles, etc. Bridgette is very knowledgeable and has a meticulous eye for pointing out the various insects and arachnids. I would recommend this tour to anyone!
