Columbus Park
Columbus Park, formerly known as Mulberry Bend Park, Five Points Park and Paradise Park, is a public park in Chinatown, Manhattan, in New York City that was built in 1897. During the 19th century, this was the most dangerous ghetto area of immigrant New York, as portrayed in the book and film Gangs of New York.
Chinatown
Vibrant Chinatown is a densely populated neighborhood that draws foodies and tourists to its many Chinese and Southeast Asian restaurants for dumplings, pork buns and hand-pulled noodles. The busy sidewalks are packed with souvenir stores, bubble tea shops, and markets selling everything from fresh and dried fish to herbs and spices. Locals hang out in leafy Columbus Park for Tai Chi, chess and mahjong.

The Chinatown/Little Italy food tour with David was outstanding! Not only were the food choices superb and tasty, David was very knowledgeable about the various areas and kept us engaged throughout the three hours. We were stuffed!

Noelle turned what could’ve been just another food tour into the kind of day you keep bringing up hours later over drinks. Every stop was better than the last — more surprising, more delicious — and she somehow managed to make each new place feel like we were in on a secret. She handled our various dietary quirks without so much as a raised eyebrow, and her enthusiasm never dipped for a second. Even a five-minute walk between stops became part of the story because she was pointing things out, telling us about the city, making us look at New York with fresh eyes. We’ve been talking about that tour ever since it ended, plotting who we’ll send her way the next time anyone we know is in town. Honestly, she wasn’t just the best guide we’ve ever had — she was the highlight of the entire trip.
