You MUST have an International Driving Permit issued in the format of the 1949 Geneva Convention and driving license from your country of origin. EXCEPT for participants with licenses issued in Switzerland, Germany, France, Taiwan, Belgium, or Monaco. In which case you will need a Japanese translation of your license from the Japan Automobile Federation (JAF/Online Application for Japanese Translation) and your own driving license. Failure to bring all required documents will result in cancellation of the tour without the possibility of a refund.

IDPs MUST be in booklet form, not in paper or A4 form.

Please note that International Driving Permits MUST be issued by your countries approved issuer. Some common examples are; Australia – AAA . USA – AAA or AATA. UK – AA or RAC. Canada – CAA

International driving permits that are issued under the Vienna Convention 1968 are NOT accepted in Japan.

Our cancellation policy is below;

Cancel up to 24 hours before the tour start time for a full refund. If you cancel within 24 hours of the tour start time the paid amount will not be refunded.

If your tour is canceled due to bad weather, you will be eligible for a full refund. Or you have the opportunity to reschedule depending on availability.

Due to the nature of operating mechanical parts, when we reach the maximum capacity of booking we may need to amend or adjust bookings depending on kart availability.

It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure they have the correct/valid documents for driving in Japan, failure to do so will result in denial of participation without the possibility of a refund. If you are not sure, please reach out to us directly and we can help to check if you have valid documents.

Cancellation Policy

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.

Wow! This was truly a top hit on our visit to Japan! My parents thought I was crazy but we couldn’t wipe the smiles off our faces the entire time! Noah and Luis made us feel so safe as we rode the streets of Tokyo (just embrace the onesies as part of the experience - you’ll feel like a celebrity as bystanders wave at you)! Once in a lifetime tour!

What a wonderfully fun experience to drive around the City on a GoKart!!!!! We were navigating our karts on busy streets with ease. The instructions given to us by the staff members were absolutely perfect without missing a beat. The pictures and videos that were taken by the staff members makes the experience even more memorable and exciting!!!!!

The professionalism, positive attitude, patience, understanding, politeness and arrangement of the tour by Marge, Leo, Kenny and Alice on 27 Nov 2024 1pm exceeded my expectations. They all spoken very fluent englsh which really helped. The shop, costume, etc were all well maintained and clean. Everything was well explained and organised. Not only did they look after us well but the non-driving accompanied passenger too. I am very impressed and appreciative of all their effort and care. Also very impressed with their coordination and communication skills amongst themselves - They had a lead car in the front, a back vehicle (e.g. block traffic behind us so we can all change lane quickly and safely) and a motorcyle to ensure we won't get lost throughout the tour. During the tour, they took many good quality and well-angled photos and videos where possible and shared them via google drive (if you would like to receive them) within 12 hours. They made safe stops to ensure we are all ok. Will not be surprised to do the same route again with those amazing staff if I visit Tokyo again. Have been recommending this tour to my friends who may consider this experience. A big thank you to Marge, Leo, Kenny and Alice for making this tour so enjoyable and memorable.

We absolutely loved JapanKarts. The karts were brand new and the staff were so friendly. The tour itself exceeded our expectations. The first 10 mins is a little scary but once you get the hang of it, it’s so much fun. Driving thru Shibuya Crossing, cruising thru the streets of Tokyo in a Go-kart. An unforgettable experience. Would totally recommend🤩

So much fun. The staff were so friendly, helpful and professional, and spoke good English. Could dress up but too hot so we just put japankart top on. Front car took our bags so were safe. Could put your mobile in a harness to video if you wanted but they took videos and photos that they passed on to everyone at the end. Back car and motorcycle to follow and check we were all ok. Nice carts too.
