We loved the tour. Alberto was so incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the environment and his work. We saw so many frogs and learned to tell the difference between males and females. I got fantastic photos that look like they're right out of an advertisement for Costa Rica. Highly recommend!

Great night tour with Alberto. It surpasses all the other guides we had in Costa Rica. At the same time he is not really a guide, he is a Biologist. He is a passionate person who knows how to pass on his knowledge and passion. He creates his ecosystems in his reserve so that the local wildlife comes to settle there, spoiler beware: it works! We've seen dozens of frogs, a sloth within 10 meters, a raccoon, a green lizard, various insects. We didn’t have time to go around the same place during the day, and I regret that.

I highly recommend the guided night tour at Anura Ecological Park. The professionalism of the team is 5 stars. The guide was not only an expert, but also knew exactly where to look for hidden wildlife. It was amazing to see so many species of frogs, including the iconic red-eyed frog, in their natural habitat. It is an educational and exciting experience. It is clear that they do a wonderful job of conservation. If you want to see the biodiversity of Costa Rica at night, this is the best option in La Fortuna.

I don’t often leave reviews, but this tour compelled me t. Alberto is a special person who deeply cares for the environment. He’s extremely knowledgeable and makes everyone feel so safe. He’s transformed an abandoned cacao and coffee farm into a wildlife paradise. I’d love to come back again in a few years to see how many more species of animals and plants thrive in his space. Thank you Alberto!

Alberto is the most passionate guide we’ve ever had on a tour! He truly loves what he does, and his explanations are incredibly interesting—from plants to frogs, from insects to birds. He also has a very inspiring vision of how preservation and business can come together, and there is so much to learn from him. I almost forgot to mention that the place itself is magical, and the tour is absolutely amazing!

We really enjoyed the night tour with Alberto, the biologist and owner. It ended up being just our family, which made the experience feel extra personal. Alberto was warm with our young children and followed their curiosity, using each moment to teach them wherever their interests led them. His phrase “knowledge is power” helped them feel comfortable with the wildlife around us. We saw red-eyed frogs, caiman, bats, fireflies, many different types of birds, insects, spiders, and learned how each species fits into the ecosystem. The walk was short, paved, and easy, taking just under two hours. There are two resident sloths on the property; we didn’t spot them this time, but we loved hearing about how Alberto is restoring the land with native plants and watching the forest come back to life. This tour is a meaningful, engaging experience for families. Highly recommend!

My guide, Dan, was an entomologist who was really knowledgeable. He found some amazing insects and incredible frogs. The eco reserve is quite small and it’s flat so it doesn’t involve a hard slog to see some amazing wildlife. And both Alberto and Dan are so obviously passionate about the wildlife and what they do. Highly recommended 😎🪲

Alberto & Carlos led us through the brilliantly restored forest . Mostly a former yuca and coffee plantation , years of deliberate & scientifically guided planning have recreated a habitat for some of Costa Rica’s most beautiful creatures . A significant investment in the ecological balance of this area which can be compromised by agriculture and human encroachment . We marvelled at our guides visual acuity to spot minute creature & their trained hearing to identify the sounds of the night . Very even ground , inclines were easy to navigate . Gracias , Bev & Len🇨🇦
