Alcazar de Toledo
The Alcázar of Toledo is a stone fortification located in the highest part of Toledo, Spain. Once used as a Roman palace in the 3rd century, it was restored under Charles I (Charles V, Holy Roman Emperor) and his son Philip II of Spain in the 1540s. In 1521, Hernán Cortés was received by Charles I at the Alcázar, following Cortes' conquest of the Aztecs. Most of the alcázar was rebuilt, or restored, between 1939 and 1957 after the Siege of the Alcázar of the Spanish Civil War.

5.00The tour guide Ramiro is a very nice guy , he gave us a full overview of Toledo’s history. The only issue is about the bus we went from Madrid to Toledo that was very tied with no space for the legs (I am only 160 cm 😡).

4.00Angy and Eros were great guides! We had a fabulous day in Toledo. Only wish we could have stayed longer. Definitely recommend the full day tour if you have the time. Eros was great but his mic was a little hard to hear at times - No fault of his as the city was very busy and bustling. You can get a visitor’s pass for all the churches and synagogues for 14 euros so recommend that over paying individually. We didn’t know that until we’d paid for our first.
