What To Expect
Tatsumi Yagura, also known as Sakurada Nijū Yagura, is a historic two-story watchtower located within the Imperial Palace compound in Tokyo. Built during the Edo period, it is one of the few original structures of Edo Castle still preserved, reflecting Japan's feudal past. Located in the southeast corner of the old inner moat, the tower served both symbolic and defensive functions. Although its interior is not open to the public, you can admire it from nearby trails in the Imperial Palace’s East Gardens, a favorite spot for photographers and history lovers exploring Tokyo’s tourist sites.
Two-tiered Bridge (Ni-ju Bashi)
