Hard to find tour guide. Inside the main entrance is a green booth. She calls tour guide. I was looking for a tour guide with a little flag or sign. Tour guide was excellent. He knew history, the art form and friendly. We toured the inside where bulls, horses stay and come into area. Museum interesting but much better with tour guide. Demonstrate was great. The capes are very heavy.

One of the best experiences ever, from a transactional, to the guided tour, our guide and the facilities. I showed up 3 days late because of international travel mishaps, and the customer service representative 9/22 10AM was willing and able to accommodate our unexpected change of schedule, with a smile and curtesy. Then our tour guide, LELIA, was very pleasant, knowledgeable, gracious, and answered all our questions, she can do the tour in at least 3 languages; she enjoys her job and educating people about bullfighting its history, customs, techniques and garment details. Perfect morning in Madrid. The building architecture is beautiful Moroccan built ~100 years ago.

Historically significant building which accommodates bull fighting. Architecture was combination of Europe and Arabian architecture which looked elegant. It signifies the importance of aggression in Europe.

My husband and I cannot recommend this tour enough! Carlos was wonderfull! It was a very thorough tour of the bullring, and we learned so much history of the sport. The bullfighting activities were so much fun and it was a great experience meeting matadors and learning techniques. Do it, do it, do it ! It was definitely our favorite activity in Madrid!

A truly surreal place. A visit is well worth it for both the history and the atmosphere. A stop that could not miss on our trip to Madrid. The arena is beautiful and the museum is also interesting. The audio guide clear and rich in detail, not too long but right.

We would highly recommend this tour - really fantastic! From start to finish we were fed so much information by our excellent guide - he told is about Spanish history and how it had affected bullfighting. Gave us information about culture and Spanish people. He explained things well and pointed out lots of extra things. Really enjoyable. We were then joined by 2 young men from the bullfighting school (Brian and Christian) who elegantly and eloquently showed us their moves and how they call the bulls. We were then able to hold the capes and have a go ourselves - great fun - you really start to understand the skill, strength and bravery required to be a matador! ( or maybe madness!!). Highly recommended tour!

One thing that any visitor to Spain should not miss is to visit the bullfighting ring to pay homage to a traditional activity with almost a cult-like following that combines artistry and athleticism. What better place to do so than Las Ventas, the largest bullfighting ring in Spain. Nestled in the Salamanca district of Madrid and easily accessible via the metro line (Ventas metro station), this Neo-Mudejar architectural marvel has been captivating audiences since its inauguration in 1931 and can seat almost 24,000 spectators around its 60m diameter circular ring. Even if you're not there for the bullfighting event, you can visit the museum for €16 entry price that comes with the audio guide. This excellent self-guided tour not only educates you on the history of bullfighting, but also brings you close to the arena, spectator stand and nursery. In addition, you'll have a chance to be a matador by donning the cape for a photogenic moment or trying to beat the bull as you immerse yourself in a virtual reality game. It's a rewarding 2 hours well-spent, learning about the country's rich bullfighting tradition and its relevance in the modern era, especially with its controversy surrounding animal cruelty. Las Ventas is more than just a sporting arena; it is the pinnacle of the country's bullfighting tradition which embodies the rich cultural heritage of Spain.
