I booked this tour last month. Two weeks ago, I was phoned from Rome to say it was cancelled so reluctantly I booked a smaller tour. Two days ago (whilst travelling) I got confirmation of the original tour and the expensive cost was taken from my account. I naturally assumed that the tour was now going ahead. On a cold wet day in madrid I waited and waited and waited (along with 2 other Chilean visitors) for a guide who never arrived. We tried to phone for clarity ( A very expensive call) to the States with no resolution. I paid for a tour that didn't happen, no refund, no help from viator. Beware booking with them.

Excellent tour but too fast! So much to see in the Museum! Farin was a great guide and very knowledgeable about key pieces. The restaurant was also amazing!

This is a very unique tour. A visit to the Prado Museum followed by lunch at Botin, the oldest restaurant in the world. Reservations to this restaurant have to be made months in advance. This tour by-passes that problem. Plus you get a short tour of the restaurant before it opens. The suckling pig was delicious. Our guide for the day, Alfonso, was one of the best guides we have ever had. This tour is qorth the money in my opinion.

This was one of our favorite activities in Madrid. This tour was a perfect combination, allowing us to see the highlights of the Prado, gain a better understanding of the literary quarter, and enjoy a delicious meal at the historic Botin restaurant. Alphonso was an excellent guide who provided engaging and relevant commentary throughout the tour. The timing was divided well as we were able to see an appropriate number of pieces at the Prado without feeling as if we were missing any of the highlights. The walk from the Prado to Botin was enjoyable and helped us to better understand the relevant literary history of Madrid. The lunch at Botin was excellent, and Alphonso explained the history of the restaurant and showed us tables where famous patrons had sat and the 500-year old cellar below the restaurant as well. Would absolutely recommend this tour!
