This was a 5 hour excursion. It took about 1.5 hours each way drive. So only 2 hours in Toledo. It was a walking guide tour. The guide spoke in spanish and then translated in english. Eventually you just tuned him out. There were two main attractions in the trip. There is only 20 minute free time which was not enough to see anything solo or shop. I recommend taking a train there without a tour. Train ticket isnaround $12 Euro.

Toledo is a beautiful town and well worth a visit. Much quieter than the big city. Our guide seemed to give more attention to the Spanish speakers than the English speakers, which was frustrating. She was also a bit rude. Of all the Viator tours we have taken, she rates the lowest.

Please note that the Cathedral closes at 4:00. If you choose the half-day tour, you won’t be able to go inside. The tour is very crowded, and while the guide is a great guy, his English is not very strong.

Toledo is great and as far as I know, we saw all of the highlights. We had considered traveling alone but were happy we took this tour.
