Alcazar of Segovia
We will visit the Alcázar de Segovia, an iconic fortified castle in Segovia with Roman roots and a mainly medieval structure (12th-16th centuries). It stands out for its military and palatial architecture, with pointed towers that inspired legends and designs of castles of tales. It was fortress, royal palace, prison and military academy. Inside, the Hall of the Kings, the Throne Room and the Chapel stand out. Today it is a historical monument and one of the most important tourist attractions in Spain.
Acueduct of Segovia
The Segovia Aqueduct is an impressive piece of Roman engineering built between the 1st and 2nd centuries AD to transport water from the mountains to the city. With a length of more than 800 meters and a maximum height of 28 meters, it stands out for its granite stone arches assembled without sandpaper. It is one of the best preserved Roman monuments of the Iberian peninsula and emblematic symbol of Segovia. Its functional and aesthetic design reflects the advanced technical knowledge of the Romans. Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it remains one of the most important tourist attractions in Spain.
